Trim hair to about a quarter-inch if needed, avoid tanning, and exfoliate gently 24 hours beforehand. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever about an hour before if desired. Arrive clean and wear comfortable clothing to reduce post-wax irritation.
Pain varies by individual, but Brazilian waxes can feel more intense due to larger coverage. Our estheticians use quick, professional techniques and soothing products. Taking a pain reliever beforehand and practicing relaxation breathing can significantly reduce discomfort.
For best results hair should be about a quarter-inch (6–7 mm) long to allow the wax to grip properly. If hair is too short the wax won't catch; if it's too long, we may trim before waxing to ensure comfort.
Most clients enjoy smooth results for about three to six weeks, depending on personal hair growth cycles and hormonal factors. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and soften hair over time. Avoid exfoliating for 24-48 hours to protect freshly waxed skin.
Temporary redness, mild swelling, and tiny bumps are common for a few hours to a day. Ingrown hairs may appear later; regular gentle exfoliation and soothing balms help. Contact us if you notice severe pain, prolonged redness, pus, or signs of infection.
Yes, you can receive a Brazilian wax during your period if you feel comfortable. Bring a tampon or pad and let your esthetician know so they can take extra precautions. Some clients prefer to reschedule if flow is heavy or sensitivity is increased.
